New Product Development Technologist ( NPD )

Working closely with the NPD Manager, Process Technologists and NPD Chef’s you will learn the administration behind the hard work that goes in to developing our mouth-watering array of foods. Additionally you will facilitate a series of key tasks and liaise with a series of stakeholders from Production, Quality and Technical.

About the Role:
To assist the development managers and assistant development manager with allocated key tasks to ensure products and projects remain on track and hit critical path dates.
To assist development managers and assistant development manager with supporting paperwork for customer reviews. To include generation of Ingredient declarations/Quids, allergen information, product photography and packaging details.
To assist development managers and assistant development manager with completion of Product Attribute template prior to customer creative seals supported by the chef & development manager.
To purchase competitor benchmarking samples for customer reviews and Launch It Love It, as directed by the development managers and assistant development manager
Working closely with the procurement team to source new raw materials this will include visits to suppliers.
To participate and contribute to weekly/monthly team meetings as required.
Key skills / Experience / Qualifications
(Desirable) Food science related qualification (HNC / Degree / ONC)
Excellent Excel skills
Strong Mathematical skills
Professional communication skills (Verbal & Written)
IT literate (Intermediate excel skills – essential)
Good level of attention to detail
Organised & methodical
