Site Service Engineer - Electrical £16.71 Per Hour (42.43 hours per week) - Northamptonshire
The position is a day role working a shift pattern to cover 7 days per week, covering Monday-Friday and some weekends (probably 1 in 3). Managing and controlling the Utilities including: air compressors, refrigeration, boilers, cooling towers. Involved in planned and breakdown maintenance of site service equipment. Managing and controlling the waste including: effluent plant, waste segregation, compactor, bulk chemical storage, drive up the level of hygiene and GMP. Liaison with suppliers for utilities services, involved in daily waste management, chemical and oil stock level checks. Annual checks and general site service checks including doors, fire equipment incorporating alarms and drills as well as insurance inspections, PAT and heat testing.
Time served and qualified electrically biased maintenance engineer.
If electrical 16th/17th edition qualified.
City and guilds or NVQ3 qualified.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE JOB
Experience working with steam boilers operating at 15 bar, air compressors, boiler water treatment and water softening plant.
Refrigeration. Experience managing waste water treatment plants and managing site waste, identifying and implementing improvements to recycle waste and reduce costs.
Technical skills required for the job (technical expertise)
- External training on boiler maintenance
- Hygiene standards in a food environment
- Internal training on waste water treatment plant
- Knowledge of quality control ISO documentation
- Health, Safety & Environmental
- PC basic skills minimum
- Refrigeration/ammonia knowledge
- Forklift trained is preferable.
- Part of the maintenance team so may be requested to undertake other duties.
