The Role:

- Accountable for the site based food safety
- Ensure delivery of site food safety KPI`s
- Raw material management
- Play a key role in audit processes including BRC and retailer standards
- Deliver results through effective development and leadership of your team
- Promote food safety best practice and have a results orientated approach, being proactive in sharing best practice on a site and group wide basis
- Instill and lead a culture of continuous improvement within your team, encouraging new ideas and a culture of positive challenge


Your experience:


- Degree qualified in a Food Science or related discipline or with extensive hands on food safety leadership experience.
- Experience of managing small teams in a technical capacity in a Food manufacturing environment.
- Can show an excellent understanding of current legislation, quality systems and technical information, this should include an excellent understanding of HACCP
- Can demonstrate the ability to identify and deliver improvement that directly impacts on the success of the technical function
- Direct experience of audit involvement
