This major food manufacturer supplies a range of chilled products into major retail stores and other establishments. They are a well-known brand who can provide a valuable step in your career and they are dedicated to the ongoing professional development of their personnel.
The business is looking to recruit an experienced and dedicated Production Planning Manager to manage the day-to-day running of the planning department. Reporting to the Head of Planning & Demand this senior site based position will directly lead the production planning team in the delivery of excellent customer service at optimum cost. You will train and coach team members, drive a continuous improvement mindset in the planning team and support the CI culture adopted across site, regularly review operational reports, review demand plans and ensure figures support operational and capacity constraints, assist the procurement team with the development of the supplier base plus manage and regularly review labour, stock, equipment and systems to accommodate successful launches.
To be considered for this role, you will be educated to a degree standard in a business or related discipline plus have strong experience of working in a planning, scheduling or supply chain function within a FMCG/manufacturing environment; preferably food manufacturing. You will also have knowledge of TOC (theory of constraints) and lean methodology plus possess effective communication skills, be highly organised, and have a good standard of literacy and numeracy.
The Production Planning Manager job is based in the South West region and is paying a competitive salary according to individual skills and previous experience.
