We are looking for an exemplary Team Manager. As the job title suggests this is a role for a strong leader of people. Someone who can:-
- Lead and motivate an area manufacturing team
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the manufacturing process
- Act a as mentor in developing potential in the team
- Influence effectively at all management levels
The role of the Team Manager is very definitely one that involves a step back from the hands on operations. Not only will a typical shift involve shop floor supervision, but this person will also attend operational meetings so we will be looking for excellent written and verbal communication skills in our ideal candidate.
Part of the responsibility of the Team Manager will be to assess daily production against target and be able to record activities as well as suggest improvements within the department. You will possess excellent analytical and numerical capability to enable you to carry out this aspect of the role.
You will already have worked in an environment that uses KPIs. Typically these will revolve around production, technical, raw materials and so on - all will be familiar areas to an experienced manager from a fmcg environment.
