We are seeking a talented individual to work for an international, blue-chip company who manufacture and supply their own internationally recognised branded products into major UK retailers. Throughout the years their products have shaped fascinating markets and continually delighted consumers through quality and innovation.
As Quality Assurance Technician you will be an integral part of a talented technical team ensuring strict food safety policies and procedures are adhered to. You will develop new internal testing systems that will encompass all elements of Quality Control checks and procedures, develop and maintain a robust shelf life assessment panel and associated testing regime, maintain the inspection plans in SAP QM system and set relevant testing frequencies, responsible for stock ordering and management, conduct first production checks and escalate any issues, investigating consumer complaints and identifying potential product issues, carry out microbiological assessments and maintain calibration and record keeping of relevant laboratory equipment.
To be considered for the Quality Assurance Technician job, you will possess at least 4 GCSEs including Math and Science together with the ambition to build a technical career within food manufacturing. Any experience of working in a related QA/technical position, maintaining quality control systems and working in a laboratory environment are all highly desirable. You will also have good observational skills, high attention to detail, a strong sense of hygiene and housekeeping plus excellent organisational and time management skills.
The Quality Assurance Technician job is based in the North West region and is paying a highly competitive salary according to individual skills and previous experience. The working days are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
