Your role as NPD & Innovation Technologist is to assist the development of all new products from concept to launch, ensuring that products meet customers’ expectations and legislative requirements, whilst assuming a wider range of departmental duties. You will play a key role in providing an effective NPD service to the customer, monitor & manage critical paths for all products in development, provide the sales and manufacturing team full product costings to ensure maximum profitability, ensure you maintain awareness of customer specific policies, legal requirements and any associated regulations, provide detailed product information to technical so that specifications can be completed accurately, liaise with the purchasing team to source new ingredients and identify cost saving opportunities plus research new trends and innovation with ingredients and products to drive sustainable business growth.
To be considered for the NPD & Innovation Technologist role, you will have a proven track record of successfully launching new & innovative products plus have concept to launch development experience with UK retailers. You will ideally be educated to a degree level in a food science or technology discipline and a background of working with bakery products is highly desirable.
The NPD & Innovation Technologist job is based in the North West region and is paying up to £30,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday, office hours.
