This manufacturer is part of a national business and supplies products to both food service and other manufacturers throughout the UK. It has driven the development of this exciting niche market into a fast growing new sector for the food industry.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, your role as Technical Manager is to control, communicate and monitor all food safety legality and quality aspects of the company’s performance, setting standards which surpass the needs and wants of the customers. You will design quality assurance systems and procedures, monitoring adherence to set standards, manage the hygiene function defining methods, materials and schedules, define process development manufacturing methods, ensure that technical needs and wants are fully satisfied and that all audits are fully prepared for and any follow up actions are achieved within the required timescale. This role presents the opportunity to assist in the formulation of strategic direction, company policies as well as participation in the management of the company.
You will be a results orientated and driven individual, you will either have good existing quality management experience or be fairly new Technical Manager looking to take the next step in your career. A high risk, high care background is essential, ideally within products such as meat, ready meals, sandwiches etc. Proficiency in BRC Version 7 is highly desirable. Lead Auditor qualification and a degree in a food technology discipline are both advantageous. You will have a strong focus on needs of the customer and consumer together with a good understanding of market trends and needed innovations.
The Technical Manager job is based in the London region and is paying up to £45,000 - £50,000 in accordance to individual skills and previous experience.
