The Role

Are you an experienced Ledger Clerk looking for your next exciting career move?

As a Senior Ledger Clerk, your role will be to oversee transactional activities by monitoring accounting practices and supervising staff. You'll also personally deal with accounting queries on a day to day basis, so when required, you'll have a good understanding on how to focus attention on driving process improvements to support the wider finance function

What you'll be doing

The key duties of the Senior Ledger Clerk role are to oversee the daily accounting activities and reporting required to accurately maintain relevant control accounts. You will focus on developing and training transactional staff to ensure business processes are understood and followed in a consistent manner.

With the support of your team, you will review and monitor aged debtor and creditor days, liaising with team to ensure that the appropriate action is taken in a timely manner, as well as using transactional KPI's to identify and improve process deficiencies and communicate performance insight.

What you'll need

You'll already have experience of working in a similar finance role, managing a team alongside a good understanding of finance system management and financial internal controls.

You will be numerate, have a strong attention to detail and advanced excel skills.
