Prestige Recruitment Specialists are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager based in East Yorkshire
Our Client are a leading food manufacturer producing high quality premium and standard cooked products for a number of leading supermarket chains,
Reporting directly to the Technical Manager and working alongside a team of Technicians, you will provide managerial support to the Technical Manager and Site Director by being responsible for the day to day running of the QA Department and QA Technicians.
You will be able to deliver a schedule of verification that factory practice and associated procedures are complaint with the relevant HACCP study. To implement and manage the quality and process audit service to the factory in order to ensure that the objectives and procedures detailed within the Technical Quality Manual are achieved in order to assure the safety, legality and quality of the product. To ensure that all KPIs as agreed with the Technical Manager / Site Director are monitored to assure compliance; where non-compliance is found, to bring this to the attention of the business so that corrective/remedial action can be agreed and implemented.
You will need to be highly organised and effective in the management of your team, confident in your approach and able to communicate and different levels.
You will need to take responsibility for
Internal Verification: Timely and effective delivery of CCP verification associated with the site HACCP Studies.
Internal Auditing: Control of internal systems designed to control the safety, quality and legality of product
Non Conformances: Highlighting any deviations from required specifications, where appropriate, to the Technical Manager / Business Unit Manager.
Support and Guidance: Providing the appropriate levels of support and guidance to those directly reportable into the role

Skills and Experience
A minimum of two years? experience within Technical environment.
Computer literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Applications
Food Science related Higher Education qualification (HND or equivalent) is essential.
Intermediate/Advanced Level Food Hygiene certification.
Appropriately trained in HACCP principles.
Ability to prioritise and work proactively to ensure all set tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Previous managerial experience would be beneficial.
An eye for detail is essential.
Excellent organisational skills.
Ability to maintain records and filing systems.
Good motivational and inter-personal skills.
This is a full time permanent role based in Hull, you will be working Monday to Friday but a degree of flexibility is needed to complete the role.
