Planner | Fresh Produce | Depending on Experience
We are working with a leading fresh produce business supplying into the retailer sector, who are looking to strengthen the Planning team with the appointment of an experienced Planner. You will be responsible for a number of SQU's and will ensure production has enough stock to fore fill orders on time and in full. You will ensure stock holding is kept to a minimum on site, and will communicate with the relevant Product Managers to ensure enough stock is coming through for the forecasted orders.
Updating the MRP and ERP systems with all forecasts.
Monitoring the sales vs the forecasts and making necessary adjustments with suppliers and production schedules.
Ensuring there is adequate raw materials and packaging to meet production demands.
Planning ahead covering range changes and peaks for raw materials and packaging.
Reviewing daily/weekly forecasts and highlighting anomalies.
Plan the production lines and allocate labour against available capacity in order to ensure that orders are completed on time and as efficiently as possible.
Ensuring raw materials are available to complete production schedules.
Monitoring the raw material usage; minimising waste; ensuring accurate availability on a daily and weekly basis.
Managing the call off of raw materials.
Coordinating and advising the packhouse on stock availability.
Experience of working in a planning role, ideally within food or fresh produce, FMCG environment.
Have previously used MRP and ERP systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Be self-motivated and hungry for success.
Be able to work as part of a team and comfortable working to very challenging targets.
Excellent IT skills
Good attention to detail
