This well-established traditional manufacturer takes pride in making the highest quality products whilst sticking to their ethical values. They are now seeking a talented and experienced individual to join the team and contribute to their ongoing success.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, as Maintenance Engineer, the purpose of your role is to efficiently maintain the production equipment to ensure optimisation of both time and resource. You will respond to breakdowns, ensure minimal downtime and disruption by effectively managing supplies and service plus you will also diagnose defects, carry out repairs and evaluate results. Further responsibilities will include ensuring compliance to health and safety and maintaining documentation, you will also be required to set up a planned preventive maintenance as well as implementing good practice and attending review meetings. This role will also require you to visit additional sites within the business to carry out maintenance repairs.
You will possess solid experience of working in a maintenance/engineering or similar role from a manufacturing environment – ideally FMCG or food manufacturing. To succeed in this role you will have sound, mechanical fault finding knowledge together with high attention to detail, good problem solving skills and have a proactive approach. Engineering and maintenance related qualifications are highly desirable and a full UK driving licence is essential.
The Maintenance Engineer job is based in the London region and is paying c. £32,000 depending on individual skills and previous experience. The working days will be 5 out of 7 including weekend work.
