As Maintenance Technician, you will work as a member of a team to ensure that the equipment on site runs efficiently and safely. This is a ‘hands on’ role with the focus on timely reactive response work to technical issues/breakdowns across the site involving both mechanical and electrical work.
You will provide an effective emergency response, undertake fault finding and diagnostic work, undertake routine maintenance, issue permits to work, be proactively involved in undertaking risk assessments plus identify continuous improvement opportunities and follow these through to implementation where appropriate.
You will possess a strong multi skilled engineering/maintenance track record within an FMCG environment – preferably food manufacturing together with a good knowledge of PLC’s (preferably Siemens). You will possess an ONC (or equivalent) in a mechanical or electrical engineering discipline and have successfully completed an apprenticeship scheme or equivalent - you will also preferably be a holder of 17th Edition Certificate.
The Maintenance Technician role is based in the South Central / Midlands region and is paying up to £42,900 according to individual skills and previous experience plus employee benefits including life assurance and pension. The working hours will consist of a mixture of day and night shifts.
