Technical Account Manager, Food, Norfolk
We are looking for an experienced Technical professional who is able to hit the ground running with this expanding food business. The company manufactures a range of branded and retailer own label products in a high growth category and has a clear plan to develop into a European leader in its category. They are now looking to add a Technical Account Manager to the team to take responsibility for the technical and relationship management of Private Label customers.
The post holder will champion and drive internal standards for private label customers; regularly meet with PL customers to discuss actions and follow up; maintain excellent knowledge of customer codes of practice; ensure the site is prepared for customer technical visits and audits; work with NPD to deliver technically sound products authorising first launch samples; attend internal benchmarking sessions and investigate any customer complaints.
The suitable candidate for this role will have an established career within the Technical sector and posses the personal confidence to represent the business in front of the major UK retailers. You will be able to influence customers and internal teams and have the ability to convert theory into tangible outputs. Experience in retailer codes of practice is essential (M&S being the most desirable) with good understanding of HACCP, TACCP, allergens and legislation. You will have a food science (or similar) degree and be a qualified internal auditor.
In addition you will have the opportunity to work with other sites within the group and advise them on technical issues within the private label customer base.
