We are seeking a talented individual to join an innovative, high quality manufacturer which supplies to various retailers throughout the UK. You will join a really friendly and supportive team with a fantastic, fun working atmosphere.
As Product Developer and working as part of a talented team, the purpose of your role is to manage the product development plans for the business on both branded and non-branded products, represent the company with customers on all NPD related activities plus to support the product & ingredients innovation work streams for the business. You will be highly involved in project management from concept to launch, report on critical path progress, prepare customer presentations, liaise and meet with suppliers, carry out competitor and market reviews, artwork and packaging development & sign off, coordinate production samples for customers and identify gaps in the market.
We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual who is a degree holder within a food science / technology discipline (essential). Any previous food industry product development experience is highly desirable, however you will essentially be able to demonstrate a strong passion and interest for food, flavours and ingredients. You will have the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently plus work well under pressure and manage own workload with little supervision. A full UK valid driving licence is essential.
The Product Developer job is based in the Home Counties / East Anglia region and is paying £18,000 - £20,000 pro rata according to individual skills and previous experience. This is an interim role with the duration to be confirmed.
