Key Accountabilities:

Respond in an efficient and effective manner, demonstrating a professional approach to any maintenance/breakdown activity; to carry out any planned maintenance tasks as directed and to the required standard in line with industry standards; participate in site-wide operational projects, for example installation of new equipment and plant, de-commissioning of machinery or other project-based activities; complete any necessary administration processes to the required standard; Operate a 'clean as you go' policy, ensuring full compliance with food hygiene standards; to have knowledge of Departmental Key Performance Indicators; Participate in the training and development of colleagues to the appropriate standards of competence (in line with training and procedural documentation provided)


Skills and Experience:

Knowledge of machinery and/or process; knowledge of leading maintenance procedures and practices; maintenance schedules - and their importance; analytical skills in diagnosis of faults on equipment; a good working knowledge of H&S; Clear understanding of working in a safe environment exhibiting good, behaviour, in dealing with all staff and especially contractor or visitors; experience of working in a food manufacturing environment; good clear communication skills; an awareness of cost and to utilise as well as to be efficient with parts and spares use; to provide detailed identification of parts required for maintenance activities, PPM's and Repairs; able to negotiate and work effectively with suppliers and customers at all levels



Minimum of GCSE level education in English and Maths, or equivalent, with good IT and communication skills.

You will be an excellent communicator at all levels with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to challenge and drive business improvements

ONC or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering / appropriate levels of industrial experience.
