As Production Supervisor, the purpose of your role is to manage and organise the team so that the production plan for the area in terms of volume and quality requirements are fulfilled, this will include planning cover as required and liaising with other departments to ensure maintenance and cleaning schedules are completed as planned. You will ensure all relevant KPI’s for the area are monitored and relevant actions taken, ensure all rules are properly communicated and complied, ensure that process improvements are fully supported within the team and to facilitate continuous improvement activities and ensure all required investigations are conducted thoroughly and in a timely manner and provide a full report as appropriate. You will possess a strong production track record within an FMCG environment – preferably food manufacturing. You will possess man management capabilities together with a working knowledge of continuous improvement / lean manufacturing techniques – any CI/Lean qualifications are highly desirable. In addition, you will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, strong numeracy skills with the ability to analyse data plus preferably experience with SAP and time & attendance systems.
The Production Supervisor role is based in the South Central / Midlands region and is paying up to £42,000 according to individual skills and previous experience plus 10% bonus and employee benefits including life assurance and pension. The working hours will consist of a rotating shift pattern including days and nights.
