The Spalding Site is part of a dedicated division supplying primal cuts of pork to a leading UK Supermarket and other mainstream customers. They have a vacancy for a highly driven Health, Safety and Environmental Manager, reporting to the General Manager and working closely with the Group Health & Safety Manager to be responsible for driving forward all aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental issues on site.

As a member of the site management team you will be instrumental in ensuring the implementation of the Health & Safety Policy via Safe Systems of work, risk assessments, internal audits, training and KPI’s. You will also support the development of a Health & Safety culture across the site, working with all key stakeholders and helping them understand their role in health and safety management.

The successful candidate will hold a NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent) as a minimum and hold Chartered Status (or be working towards), as well as ideally having Associate Membership of IEMA.  Study support may be given to an exceptional candidate who is able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience and who wishes to gain the NEBOSH Diploma.  Experience in an FMCG environment and being a competent user of excel is essential combined with the ability to build working relationships at all levels, first class communication skills, attention to detail and working to tight deadlines.

We value our workforce and are fully committed to developing our people and allowing them to show their full potential. If you are as serious about food as we are and ready to help us make a difference, we would like to hear from you.
