An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HR Officer to join our HR team, to be responsible for the day to day implementation of all aspects of generalist HR for the Corsham site, located 26 miles from Bristol. This site employes 350 people and is a partnership supplier to a premium retailer, with a key focus on retaining a skilled, engaged workforce.
The successful candidate will be site based to support the management team and the site’s adherence to Company HR policies and procedures, legal compliance and best practice, as well as ensuring a continuous ‘audit ready’ status at all times. You will be require to provide a proactive, effective and professional service to the site and all of its internal customers. You will also support the delivery of all aspects of HR in terms of employee reward, relations, development and resourcing including recruitment and selection, Divisional and Group initiatives.
You will also have a keen interest in actively working with the site and local community to promote the site as an ‘Employer of Choice’. You will often take the lead in nurturing apprentices, establishing and maintaining relationships with local schools, and taking part in additional activities which engage our workforce whilst supporting the values of our customers.
The successful candidate will hold a CIPD or equivalent qualification, have an excellent understanding of employment legislation and preferably have previous food industry or manufacturing experience. You will be hands on, always have a ‘can do’ attitude, and have good IT skills
