Technical Services Manager
This innovative and award winning manufacturer supplying amazing chilled products to the UK major multiples are seeking a proactive and driven Technical Services Manager to join their fast paced team and implement their quality systems.
In this desirable technical role, you’ll be responsible for the management of all technical aspects for the site. Your key accountabilities will include:
- Managing QA teams and implementing controls to ensure all policies and procedures are reviewed and updated in line with company, customer and accreditation requirements.
- Maintaining and developing internal quality systems, driving continuous improvements and providing technical support on the latest food safety standards and best practice methods.
- Collaborating with cross functional teams including NPD to update and manage technical KPIs, monitor trends and investigate non-conformances as well as working with customers to resolve complaints and apply corrective actions where necessary.
- Liaising with external suppliers as well as internal purchasing and operations teams to guarantee all ingredients, raw materials and finished products are in line with approved specifications, industry legislation and meticulous company standards.
We are looking for an ambitious and talented Manager of graduate calibre with experience in a high risk chilled food manufacturing environment. You must have an excellent technical knowledge and a strong understanding of quality assurance including HACCP, BRC and UK retailer specification systems. You’ll need to have a high level of attention to detail as well as excellent organisation and people management skills in order to lead and motivate your team to success. You must also have great communication skills that will enable you to liaise effectively with a varied supplier and customer base.
