Role - Technical Manager
Salary - £45,000 - £50,000 PA
Location - North West London

If you are someone with a technical management background, who has experience with all technical systems and quality manuals and procedures with experience of handling and leading an experienced technical team then we may have an excellent opportunity for yourself and your career.

This is a very well-known company within their trade, they have many years of product experience, as they have also worked within the catering industry for many years - so they have a versatile background including restaurants as their biggest customer. They have a high quality mix of products with a traditional, authentic and innovative mix on all products, where they work with premium ingredients. They have just upgraded many factors within the company so now they have state of the art production facilities and development kitchen, which enables them to work on a bigger scale but to produce such great products.

The Technical Manager will:
*Provide direction and support to the technical department, managing and facilitating staff performances and development and ensuring the department structure and skills are developed to meet changing business requirements.
*Put performance and development reviews and plans in place.
*To manage and review Food Safety Management System (HACCP). Chair HACCP meetings and review and update HACCP system or related procedures.
*Ensure all audits are carried out and corrective actions put in place to ensure technical integrity and standards are maintained at all times.
*BRC Audit compliance.
*Monitor and audit the effectiveness of corrective procedures relating to customer complaints. Adherence to relevant documented procedures and identification of gaps in system and proposed solutions.
*Agree achievable quality standards with the customer and ensure they are maintained on an ongoing basis. Standards consistently achieved, issues revolved effectively and specifications signed off.
*Ensure site hygiene standards are met and to carry out formal independent documented hygiene audits at the specified frequency.
*Support procurement in ensuring the technical integrity of the procurement processes maintained.
