The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Shift Leader to join our team here at Greencore. As Maintenance Shift Leader you'll be managing a team of engineers who maintain and improve the performance of all plant and equipment. You will ensure that the shift engineering team adhere to good manufacturing practices (GMP) at all times, ensuring compliance with food safety requirements.

What you'll be doing

A key focus of your role will be to plan and prioritise the shift workload for the engineering team to enable production targets to be achieved, you'll implement the planned preventative maintenance schedule to maximise machinery up time and minimise disruption.

You'll be leading the engineering team to create a high performing culture where team members are supported to achieve their potential, working closely with the shift engineering team to also ensure they produce accurate documents and reports to present information in the required format. It will be your responsibility to ensure that the permit to work is in place and adhered to so that contractors and colleagues work safely at all times.

What you'll need

With previous supervisory experience, you'll be a time served accredited apprentice or have an Engineering HNC with appropriate levels of industrial experience.

You will have knowledge of manufacturing machinery and / or processes, be computer literate with competent costing and budgeting skills
