Vitaflo International Ltd is looking for a highly motivated New Product Development Technologist to join the R&D Department. The individual will play an essential role in the development and expansion of our product range of innovative clinical nutritional products.

Their dedicated experts have over 30 years experience in producing specialist nutritional products. Working in partnership with world key opinion leaders and patients, Vitaflo's aim is to create products that combine the best of cutting edge research with the lifestyle demands of modern living, ensuring the most acceptable products are available.
Key responsibilities
- Concept product development of innovative nutritional formulations to agreed specifications
- To organise and complete formulation development and coordinate pilot-plant, scale-up and manufacturing trials
- To generate trial and manufacturing operating procedures
- Generate test protocols and procedures, and coordinate product evaluation.
- To maintain accurate records of all processes and formulations
- Liaise with external contract manufacturers
- To keep up to date with innovations and developments in raw material and process technologies
Key Attributes
- The ideal candidate would have a degree in a scientific / food technology subject, together with proven expertise in product development for a minimum of 2 years within the food / nutrition industry.
- Preferably food technology experience of powder, liquid, heat treatment and emulsion technology processes.
- Experience of raw material selection with consideration for functionality and regulatory constraints.
- Experience of flavouring and sensory analysis.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to be flexible, innovative and self motivated
