A major player in fresh produce, our client is one of the key market leaders supplying top of the range products to leading retailers. Their continued growth and expansion has resulted in this new opportunity for a proven technical professional to take lead and drive forward their fruit category.
Reporting to the Technical Director and leading a dedicated team, you'll be responsible for driving and delivering a comprehensive technical department strategy across the fruit category. You will work closely with customers and travel regularly to suppliers to ensure all products meet stringent quality standards.
Your background will be in either retail or fresh produce supply, ideally with Fruit. Educated to degree level and have proven management experience in a technical capacity, including first hand experience in quality, safety and legislative activities.
We are looking for drive, determination and flexibility. Excellent commercial, communication and people skills are a must.
