My client is a large and successful food manufacturing organisation with headquarters in Saudi Arabia. The company would now like to appoint a Production Manager (Quality Services, Industrial Performance & Continuous Improvement) to work in the Operations Division. Core Purpose of Job:
Initiate, identify, manage and follow-up of all continuous improvements triggered via Operational Efficiencies, customer complaints, non compliances, reject and dumps, GMP audits by ensuring continual pro- active approach to Operations.

Activities:
? Working closely with functional managers to investigate and resolve Quality/Operational Issues arising through customer complaints or internal problems and recommend to the management any procedures or method that need to be introduced or corrected.
? Managing and directing Quality improvement team to investigate and resolve Quality problem /Issues.
? Co-coordinating and give advice to Quality improvement project groups.
? Facilitating the activities of Quality systems at site through concerned persons in the systems.
? Preparing the annual plans and undertaking the Quality /GMP audits and identify the scope for continual improvements.
? Ensuring that all Quality/Operational improvement activities are under taking in a safe and effective manner.
? Being an active member of HACCP Team.
? Liaising with QA Manager (CHP/F&LL) to validate the corrective actions of product Quality complaints.
? Assisting SQAM in presenting effectiveness of corrective actions in Customer complaint meetings.
? Responding to and reporting all customer complaints and trending.
? Analysing Non compliances and preparing the trends and up dating the management.
? Planning and conducting non- compliance and prevention audits.
? Following up all corrective and preventive actions.
? Driving the process-Quality meeting on weekly meetings for improvements in processing.
? Managing the site Laundry to ensure that a ready supply of clean overall is available to all the staff.
? Allocate appropriate resources to maintain site is a clean and tidy.
? Maintaining Quality Services with in the laid down budgets.
? Coordinating with external contractors for extra cleaning activities.
? Supervising the pest control activities and coordinating with the pest control contractor.
? Shouldering responsibilities for HEALTH AND SAFETY activities with in the department as a local safety co-ordinator.
? Ensuring that high risk activities such as high cleaning are carried out under controlled PTW systems.
? Coordinating with in the department for the compliance of Health and Safety activities and targets.

Remuneration;

Qualifications:

Essential :
Diploma in Food Science, Chemistry , Microbiology or B.Sc Engineering

Desirable :
Degree in Food technology / Dairy technology / microbiology

Experience:
At least 5 (five) years of experience in QA Dept preferable in Food and or Dairy Industry.

Familiar with ISO 9001-2000, HACCP, GMP, CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT, RISK ASSESSMENTS & OTHER QUALITY SYSTEMS.

Desirable responsibilities;
Head or Manager of Quality function implementing Quality Management systems and Quality Investigations.

Competencies:
Knowledge, Skills and Attitude
Good spoken English, strong personality with leadership Qualities, Committed, should be able to cascade the policies of Management down the ranks. Good communicative skills presentation skills and should be able to drive the meetings and influence the functional managers for implementation of Quality related actions.

Should be good communicator and should be able to respond to customer queries timely and ensures the effective implementation of actions needed. Should be able to interact with cross functional managers for the Quality issues and related issues for the implementation of the actions needed
