Our client is the UK's leading importer of a specific fruit product and supplies the major supermarkets. They are looking for a dynamic person to help manage their technical relationship with a major UK multiple.
This is an exciting role in a very fast moving company. The job will involve plenty of travel abroad to work with our growers, in particular in South Africa, Chile, India, Spain and Greece.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Developing their technical relationship directly with our customer's Technical Manager.
It will involve managing customer visits (both in the UK and abroad) as well as dealing with day to day customer issues.
Liaison with suppliers and their own "in country product managers" to ensure all aspects of product safety, pesticide use and specifications are adhered to.
Developing all forms of NPD, packaging improvements as well as identifying new varieties.
You will need to have a driving license and your own transport. We are looking for someone that can move through to be a full technical manager within 18 - 24 months and therefore the salary and benefits to match.
