Our client is a leading European supplier of top quality vegetables and fruit.

The IDEAL person will possess:
• To provide an effective and confidential HR function
• To ensure employment law compliance across all business operations
• To source and recruit new employees in a timely manner to meet business objectives
• To support Managers in the development of staff
• Produce KPIs for weekly/ monthly management meetings and monthly Board report and compliance audits
• Work with senior and middle management to determine recruitment requirements and ensure a robust recruitment process is followed
• Assist with disciplinary hearings, appeals, any serious grievance disputes/investigations and ensure company procedures are followed
• Alert senior management as directed any absence claim due to work related events/ accidents/ incidents/ stress
• Ensure payroll section receives all relevant employee documents

The IDEAL person will possess:
• Strong people management skills (especially influencing & negotiating)
• Experience in a FMCG factory environment
• CIPD Graduate membership/ or qualified by experience to same level
• Generalist HR Management and record keeping systems
• Psychometric, ability/aptitude testing to Levels A&B preferred
• Auditing skills preferred
• Basic Health & Safety knowledge preferred
• Health & Safety qualification – Managing Safely IOSH
• Confident interaction with all levels, stakeholders and customers with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Methodical with attention to detail and a discreet/confidential personality
• Able to work with team accountability and group decision making while resilient enough to flag to senior managers areas of unacceptable business risk
• Good time management skills, ability to prioritise and delegate
• Open to challenge and change, resilient personality with a real desire and capability to become HR Director
