My client is a leading food manufacturer with sites throughout the UK. They would now like to appoint a High Risk Preparation Controller for their site in the North East of England. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating activities of preparation area to agreed standards and specification to achieve optimum product quality. Liaising with the relevant departments to ensure the smooth operation and transfer of products to lines. Maintaining all aspects of Food Safety, Health and Safety, Quality, and Good Manufacturing Procedures, coaching personnel and ensure compliance with necessary legislation. Contributing to the continuous development of working procedures and the environment.
Key tasks
•To ensure that ingredients and mixes are produced in accordance with specifications and GMP’s.
•Coordinate activities as required the objective being to maintain product flow from preparation to through to production ensuring efficiencies quality and safety standards. Monitor and control waste and minimise overproduced product.
•Ensure all the relevant standards of product quality are achieved and compliance with the necessary legislation regarding food safety and health and safety.
•Audit the relevant paperwork and ensure it is completed to the required standard and any corrective action or issues highlighted have been followed through.
•Identify / implement the appropriate training to ensure your team have the required skill levels
HOURS OF WORK: Minimum of 40 hours or as required to suit the needs of the business
RATE OF PAY: salaried (negotiable)
