You will be given full autonomy for the sourcing and procurement of all produce raw materials. Of graduate calibre you will have substantial experience buying produce from suppliers and growers. Whilst CIPS would be advantageous it is certainly not essential. Your ability to demonstrate commercial acumen and quantify your achievements through cost savings and process improvements will be crucial. Quality is far more important than lowest cost and as such, you will be able to show how you have developed mutually beneficial, long term relationships with suppliers and growers.
In addition to your educational and professional experience you will be a highly credible and passionate individual who can give farmers, suppliers and colleagues confidence in your professional abilities.
