Our client, a leading food confectionary and beverage manufacturer are seeking an Environmental Manager for its site in North Wales to serve as the site Environment champion acting as the driving force behind the site's implementation of the group's environment policies and all legal standards/procedure. To ensure site compliance, including measurement of performance, training, assessment, auditing, reporting and objective setting. To deliver reductions in the environmental burden of the site manifested as reduction in utility and waste costs.
The successful candidate will have the follwing skills/experience/qualifications;
" Holder of IOSH Environmental Certificate & NEBOSH Environment Diploma or equivalent
" Relevant degree and Associate membership of IEMA or chartered member status of the society for the environment or equivalent relevant business experience
" Experience of dealing with regulatory bodies including the EA
" Experience of preparing routine reports required by EA for relevant licence conditions.
" Experience of accredited Environmental Management Systems and dealing with both internal and external auditors
" Lead Auditor qualified in Environmental auditing
" Experience of preparing and managing IPPC permits and underpinning principles of impact assessment and the assessment of best available techniques.
" Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
" Strong coaching and influencing skills
" Experience of site utilities including Effluent treatment, VOC Abatement and key environmental requirements relating to site advantageous, but not essential.
