As an International leader in the sourcing and marketing of Fresh produce across the globe, our client has substantial brand and market share in numerous categories across Europe. Due to continued growth and development our client needs to stay at the top of their game, and in order to do this they need to further strengthen their procurement team.
However….only the best candidates will do!
They are seeking a commercially aware individual with a strength in fresh produce procurement, gifted with fluency in at least two European languages (English Essential). Reporting to the Procurement Manager the main duties will include creating a supply pattern and product mix that is demand driven and customer focused to ensure profitability, co-ordinating and managing the supply and cost chains. You will communicate closely with the key account managers and provide a delivery pattern to the needs of the supply plan for key customers and internally communicate the product strategies. Getting hands on with the product will also be an essential part of the role, assessing the impact of quality.
To be the ideal candidate you will need to have those European languages firmly under your belt. In addition to this is the requirement to know well the international fruit supply patterns, supply chains and continental market demands. You will also have a good working knowledge of the technical aspects and food safety regulations. A love of a challenge is a definite bonus, and our client is looking for someone who can show a real commitment to the role and the company.
