My client, part of a multinational food manufacturing group, would like to appoint a Purchasing and Category Manager to join their team.

Reporting to the Group Purchasing Manager, you will be directly responsible for overall management and control for all pricing within a defined purchasing category, with a particular focus on driving efficiencies, delivering effective contract negotiation, and the sourcing and rationalization of suppliers. A key role within the management team, you will be tasked with negotiation, budgeting and implementing systems and procedures within a highly committed team.

The candidate:
Able to illustrate a strong track record in contract negotiation, procurement and budget control from within a food manufacturing environment.
Educated to graduate level, or equivalent, enhanced by formal training in modern manufacturing philosophies.
A proven people manager capable of delivering change through your team, whilst prioritizing your tasks to contribute to the wider strategic objectives.
Display excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work within a team.
