Part of a larger group producing high quality chilled foods for the British market; our client has invested in a new facility supplying chilled desserts to the major retailers. Due to this new expansion, they are now seeking a Commercial Assistant.
You will assist and support the Sales Director across both commercial and marketing aspects of the product portfolio, guaranteeing that the Customers needs are met or indeed exceeded every time. You will be commercially minded, target driven, have strong numerical skills and enjoy the satisfaction of working in a successful team towards achieving a common goal. A strong communicator with the proven ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels, you will liaise with procurement, planning and production.
Assistance in the design and delivery of customer presentations
Assistance with category reviews including full audits.
Maintenance of up to date and accurate information using the M&S MSS System
Extracting and manipulating data using M&S MSS System
Building and maintaining the relationship with the customer
Using a creative outlook in developing recommend promotional initiatives to drive sale
Assisting in customer research including category reviews
Maintenance of up to date market information
Working with the Sales Director in growing the business, looking at both different categories and new opportunities in existing categories
Updating forecasts
Liaising with procurement, planning and production
Working with the Creative Assistant in transferring the raw data into plans, forecasts and category reviews
Visiting the customer on a regular basis
Keeping abreast of market changes
This position requires a commercially minded individual, with a food science/technology background. Able to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines, you will be driven and enjoy the fast pace of a commercial environment
