Our client is a unique end-to-end product development and manufacturing company specialising in performance and functional nutrition. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a highly motivated Food Technologist with a keen interest in nutrition to join their expanding NPD team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to gain valuable experience in a dynamic development team.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Development of new product requests with short turnaround times.
- Working with our sales team and customers on the development of new products
- Liaising with operations on taking new products into production
- Providing sales with innovative solutions
- Understand consumer trends and concerns.
- Produce product specifications and nutritional information in accordance with customer requirements where required.
- Deal with technical / value engineering issues.
Experience Required
- Technical qualification to Degree level, preferably food science or related.
- Over 4 years experience in applications environment
- Experience in the area of development of nutritional bars would be an advantage but is not essential
- Proven track record in delivering high volume development initiatives
- Self motivated with well structured work organisational skills.
- Strong interest in nutrition
- Capable of working in small team to tight deadlines.
- Creative mind willing to try new ways of doing things
- Be computer literate
- Be flexible and adaptable
- Be self-motivated and have good influencing skills
