Position Summary:
An exciting opportunity has now arisen for a Hygiene Manager to join my client’s Technical department. This is a challenging role which will require a food hygiene professional to work as part of the Senior Management Team across a 24/7 operation. You will effectively manage all aspects of the Hygiene Department, accountable for controlling labour and materials within agreed budgets, delivering output requirements across all shifts.
The role:
The Hygiene Manager will manage the site Hygiene Management System, ensuring that cleaning schedules, procedures and documentation are available and in use for all factory equipment. You will be responsible for leading a team of Hygiene Supervisors, managing and facilitating their performance and development, ensuring all staff comply with cleaning and hygiene standards as outlined by the customer.
As Hygiene Manager, you will actively promote an H&S culture, continuously identifying areas for improvement and further developing and maintaining a positive working relationship with M&S. Other duties include developing and implementing effective cleaning schedules for the plant, premises and equipment, also ensuring that on site pest control is being carried out in accordance with customer and company policies.
Requirements:
Successful candidates must have a substantial background working as a Hygiene Manager. Candidates must hold a Food Hygiene certificate. With a proactive approach to work, we are looking for someone with strong leadership skills and proven success in people management. Leading by example, you will be able to encourage and motivate other team members, achieving results at pace and remaining calm whilst working under pressure.
Candidates must be action focused, highly organised, and self motivated, along with great drive to getting the job done. This role requires an excellent communicator with a professional approach, along with the ability to build effective working relationships with the customer and site staff alike.
