Job : Innovations Manager (Food Industry) - East Midlands.
This leading chilled food manufacturer is looking for a creative and forward thinking NPD Manager to lead their development team.
Responsibilities include:
Accountable for the creation and delivery of the Innovation Programme, properly executed, on time, to budget.
Overall responsibility for managing the projects, resource and communicating project status to key stakeholders. In conjunction with the business manager, ensure that the product portfolio is developed appropriately in line with customer requirements and that packaging and process engineering is delivered in a timely manner.
As part of the Business unit team, actively participate in the wider issues of the business, and [with others] responsible for establishing and meeting the strategic objectives of the business unit.
Experience required:
Educated to degree level or similar qualification, with experience in Innovation management, preferably with line management responsibility
Proven record for product and process innovation.
Passion for and knowledge of fresh food, with a broad understanding of the premium added value chilled food market Proven Project Management Skills
Extensive Product, Process and Sensory skills
Computer literate
Previous budgetary responsibility an advantage
