OUR CLIENT is a leading food manufacturing business with a key focus on supplying added value bakery products, such as speciality breads, croissants and pain au chocolat to it’s principal, industry leading supermarket client. They employ approximately 300 people, but as this is a 24/7 operation only around 100 people are on site at any one time. They are always looking for outstanding individuals to join their growing team.
THE ROLE will involve taking a pro-active role in the development and maintenance of high quality products to reflect both customer and market needs, to prepare concept bakery samples in line with development briefs, to interpret briefs with innovation and market leading ideas where required and to source new ingredients and build strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
PERSONAL PROFILE:
• Degree in a Food Related subject
• Significant Development experience, ideally in a bakery environment.
• Creative, with an eye for quality and detail
• Knowledge of Business Information Systems
• Analytical and logical approach to the retail development process
• Excellent communication skills and a ‘self-starter’
