This is a very varied role where the successful candidate will gain real experience with dealing with and managing a multiple retailers needs.
OUR CLIENT is a medium sized manufacturer of premium hand-held snack foods, supplying most of the major multiple retailers, both with branded and retailer own-label products. Their products include Crisps, Fried Snacks and Pot Noodle type products.
THE ROLE - Your principal responsibility will be to support the Technical Manager as the first contact for technical issues with a major customer.
Key Duties:
• Product and Process Development
• On-line Specifications
• Technical reports, such as KPI’s
• Ensuring compliance with Technical requirements
• Updating the Management team of the Customer’s requirements
• Assisting the technical / Quality team with other duties
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• Degree in a food related subject
• A ‘hands on’ attitude to process and product development
• Self motivated, with the ability to work with all levels in a factory environment
• Good IT Skills, with knowledge of MS Office
• Experience with on-line electronic specification and data packages used by major retailers
• Excellent communication and customer service skills – able to build and develop excellent working relationships
