In Practical Terms:

A Quality Manager is hands on and has responsibility for a team of Quality Auditors. The scope of the role encompasses Audits, Technical Systems and maintaining Quality Systems and Documents. Experience of HACCP, BRC and QMS is usually essential as is an understanding of labelling specifications and packaging requirements.

Quality Professionals are usually the ultimate diplomats who have the ability to influence and gain the “buy in” from peers and colleagues.
